Tri-State BBQ Festival Named in Statewide “TOP 10″ Events List

The state of Alabama, through their department of travel and tourism, compiles a list of events and festivals held state-wide. The then publish a fantastic, beautifully complied booklet that is put out at tourism stations and rest areas across the state. The 96 page book has some awesome photography of area events, and is a great resource for visitors to the state and residents alike.  This is what the book looks like:

You can also request a copy of the book or other Alabama travel information at their website, http://www.alabama.travel/   (And when you are visiting their website this month, please take note of the featured events on the left side— the Tri-State BBQ Festival is listed there also!).

But, the really big news is that the 7th annual Tri-State BBQ Festival  in Dothan, Alabama is listed as a Top 10 event on page 27. Out of all the things happening in April across the state, our barbecue festival is something that the state thinks you need to go see or do. Isn’t that awesome?! We’re very proud to have received this distinction, and hope you’ll take the State of Alabama’s advice and come visit us at the Houston County Farm Center on April 13 & 14. Gates open Friday night from 5-10 pm and Saturday we’re open from 10-10.  Tickets are available online, or in Dothan at several locations (click the ticket tab above on the website www.tristatebbq.com for ticket locations.) Adults are $10, students of any age are $5 and children 6 and under are free.  We are also proud to offer many free activities once inside the gate, including live music, bouncers and inflatable amusements for children, BBQ samples and a car show on Saturday, and the Lang Q-school (cooking classes) both days.
